A reflection for curious souls
We are walking, talking vessels of water — 70% of your body, 71% of the planet, nearly 90% of your brain. Water is so ordinary we forget it… until suddenly we don’t. Then it becomes one of the strangest substances in the universe.
Science keeps measuring it and finding more questions than answers.
Spiritual traditions keep blessing it and feeling something shift.
And in the middle, sincere seekers stand with two truths in their hands:
- There is no laboratory proof (yet) that water carries prayers, memories, or divine signals.
- There is also no proof that it cannot.
So let’s wade in—gently—and see what the waters want us to notice.
1. Water Already Breaks the Rules (Science Admits This Much)
- It’s the only known substance that becomes less dense when it freezes, which is why ice floats and lakes don’t freeze from the bottom up.
- It climbs narrow channels against gravity, the quiet miracle that makes trees possible.
- It dissolves almost anything given enough time, earning the name “universal solvent.”
- Near cell membranes and certain gels, it forms “exclusion zones” (EZ water) that push particles away and separate charge like a tiny battery.
Dr. Gerald Pollack and other researchers have filmed these effects for years.
Mainstream science says: “It’s an interfacial phenomenon, not a new phase of water.”
But no one denies it: something unusual is happening where water meets life.
2. Claims That Go Further (Beautiful… but Unproven)
- Homeopathy: that water “remembers” substances long after the last molecule is gone.
- Masaru Emoto & Veda Austin: that water crystals respond to thoughts, words, or emotion.
- Sacred traditions: that holy water, Lourdes water, Zamzam water hold measurable blessing or healing.
- EZ-water enthusiasts: that structured water is a crystalline antenna for spirit or universal intelligence.
These claims have been tested over and over under strict controls.
So far, results have not held up.
Current score:
Scientific evidence → almost zero
Established physics → strongly skeptical of long-term molecular memory
Yet the curiosity refuses to die. And that’s worth noticing.
3. But… Absence of Evidence Is Not Evidence of Absence
This isn’t a clever slogan. It’s how discovery works.
We once believed atoms were solid → then learned they’re mostly empty space.
We thought consciousness was simple electricity → yet quantum biology now shows coherence we can’t explain.
We believed the universe was static → until the Big Bang demanded a First Cause.
So when someone says,
“Water cannot carry spirit,”
what they truly mean is,
“As of 2025, no known mechanism explains how.”
That leaves a door open—maybe only a crack, but enough for wonder to slip in.
4. The Seven-Wave Pattern (A Hint from Revelation)
The Urantia Book—and many ancient traditions—describe reality unfolding in sevens:
- Seven atomic levels in the periodic table
- Seven adjutant mind-spirits that lift animals toward worship
- Seven colors in the rainbow
- Seven notes in a scale
- Seven creative epochs
Water sits quietly in the center of all of them…
the universal carrier, the medium through which life assembles itself.
Coincidence?
Signature?
You decide.
5. Where Faith and Science Can Actually Hold Hands
Here’s the honest middle ground:
- Science: “We see no evidence that H₂O molecules store prayers or spiritual signals.”
- Faith: “Yet billions have felt water heal, bless, cleanse, or comfort.”
- Seekers: “Maybe water is not the source… but the instrument.
Spirit moves through it the way wind moves through leaves—real motion, invisible cause.”
Both worlds can be true at the same time.
The ocean does not need our approval to be sacred.
It just keeps arriving in waves—always seven at a time—inviting us deeper.
Maybe one day science will uncover a property of water that links matter with meaning.
Maybe it won’t.
Either way, the mystery remains generous.
So bless your water if you feel moved.
Science won’t mind.
And if God is love, God probably smiles at the gesture.
Because perhaps the greatest truth about water is this:
It was designed to keep us humble, thirsty, and forever reaching for Something larger than ourselves.
Stay curious, stay kind, and keep listening to the waves.
They’ve been singing the same seven-note song since the beginning.
